Local produce
The farms sell everything from pressed apple juice, farm-brewed beer, organic vegetables and edible flowers, to tender steaks, artisanal sausages, venison and yarn and sheepskin. Some farms cultivate organic and tasty products grown without chemical additives. In addition, year-round products are sold through the local REKO rings.
Farm activities
While visiting the regions farms you can do horseback riding, dog sledding, meet the animals and pick berries, fruit, corn and vegetables yourself. Many of the farms have their own cafes and offer various courses throughout the year. At the beverage producers you can participate in distillery visits and tastings.
Whether you are planning a summer barbecue, want to collect berries or visiting traditional Christmas markets, the region’s farms are open all year round. During the Advent season, farm experiences and Christmas activities are arranged with a magical Christmas atmosphere in the countryside.

Imagine coming to a farm, sitting down in the yard with a good cup of coffee and fresh pastries while the children play. How about a bike ride from farm to farm? Enjoy a day- or weekend trip. We have created our own farm route in Hurum and it is worth having enough time in the small towns to enjoy a meal with sea view at one of the local restaurants. Along the way, you can extinguish your thirst and have a snack along the route at the farm cafes.
