Location:

Lysebu is located at the top of Oslo, in Voksenkollen. Peaceful and quiet – right on the doorstep of Nordmarka. You can reach Lysebu by car or by taking metro line no. 1. The metro ticket price includes the finest view over Oslo and the surrounding area.

 

History:

During the Second World War, the Danish people collected large sums to send food to Norway. Several thousand food parcels were distributed all over the country – Norwegian aid sent a total of 22 tonnes of food from Denmark to Norway every day during the war. In 1945, NOK 13 million remained from the collection in Denmark. This money laid the foundation for the Danish-Norwegian Cooperation Fund. As a thank you for the help during the war, Norway gave Lysebu as a gift to the Foundation. In its time, Lysebu was designed by the well-known architect Magnus Poulsson, who created an environment characterized by Norwegian tradition back to the civil servants’ farms in Eastern Norway, or the royal farms in the fairy tales. The idea behind giving Lysebu as a gift to the Foundation was that Danes should be able to travel to Norway and experience Norwegian culture. This story tells about the values ​​that Lysebu is founded on, values ​​that sit in the walls and that inspire us every day: Generosity, gratitude and consideration.

Kleivstua Hotell

From Dronningveien up to Kleivstua you get some of the most beautiful viewpoints in Eastern Norway, with spectacular panoramic views of Steinsfjorden and Ringerike. When you enter the yard, the calm subsides – here you will find both silence and inspiration.
Activities
Kleivstua is surrounded by Krokskogen – Asbjørnsen and Moe’s fairy tale forest – with miles of hiking and cycling trails. We offer:
• 10 electric bikes for rent (helmet included) for day trips to, among others, Kongens Utsikt, Sørsetra and hidden bathing spots.
• Lavvo and barbecue hut (Stallen), perfect for gatherings with activities such as axe throwing, obstacle course and air rifle.
• Team building and tailor-made activities for groups.
• Short distance to Tyrifjord Golf Club, one of Norway's most beautiful courses.
• Great ski slopes in winter.
Food and wine
The restaurant has a magnificent view of Hole and Ringerike. Our cuisine is based on Norwegian food traditions, combined with modern flavors and seasonal ingredients. We have a carefully selected wine cellar with wines from many parts of the world.
Conference
With 8 meeting rooms (and 9 group rooms) with a capacity of up to 100 people, Kleivstua is an ideal place for courses and conferences. Our largest meeting rooms, Villa Utsikten and Langhuset, are free-standing buildings with their own break rooms.
Kleivstua offers modern meeting facilities in a historic setting, personal hospitality and nature right outside the door. The entire place can be rented exclusively for groups that want a private atmosphere.
Parties and weddings
For more than 250 years, Kleivstua has hosted weddings, anniversaries and large events.
• Restaurant Dronningen has space for 200 guests.
• Villa Utsikten is suitable for parties of 15–60 people.
• Gulstua, in the oldest part of the hotel, can accommodate up to 45 people.
A wedding at Kleivstua is something very special. Weddings can be held both indoors and outdoors, and we offer flexible solutions for aperitifs, dinner and dancing. Many choose to celebrate for three days, with a barbecue buffet on Friday, a wedding dinner on Saturday and a pleasant breakfast on Sunday.

Wærpen event and conference

Wærpen Gård is scenically situated by the Oslo Fjord, only 40 min from Oslo city center and 60 min from Gardermoen Airport near Drøbak and Sætre. We have 4 villas for rent for event, meetings and conferences with accesible gardens. We also rent Nedre Wærpen Farm with a party tent up to 120 persons. 

The farm has its own coastline. Here you can enjoy life both sea and land, with fishing and swimming. There are many nice attractions locally, such as Oscarsborg Fortress, Håøya-island, Holmsbu, Villa Malla, Drøbak, Son and peaceful scenic areas where you can be completely to yourself.

House and cabins for rent for events, team buildings and vacations

As a guest in our cabins and houses you experience the Oslo Fjord at its best. We have 4 holiday homes for rent of different sizes. Several of the houses have large lawns outside.

The marina is close by, where you can rent a small boat for pleasant excursions.

THE HARBOR (350 m2, 17 people)

The harbor yard has been named one of the 100 most unique holiday homes in Europe by the travel operator Novasol, which is one of the largest players in holiday homes in Europe.

Havnegården is a house of 350 sqm, sleeping capacity for 17 adults. 2 bathrooms + guest toilet, 2 kitchens fully equipped, one kitchen has a 1700s long table that seats 12 people. Dining room with dining area for 10 people and large living room with dining area for 28 people. 1 kitchen entrance and large main entrance.

THE YELLOW HOUSE (400 m2, 17 people)

Åsen is a log house of about 400 sqm, sleeping capacity for 17 people, 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 kitchens with all accessories. A large dining room with long table where you can cater for 20 people. Living room with seating capacity for 20 people. There are 2 spacious times with wood stoves. The house is nicely furnished and is well suited for family gatherings.

There is a good patio with large decking with garden furniture for 20 people.

The house is located completely by itself, in quiet scenic surroundings, with a fantastic view over the Oslo Fjord. There are many hiking opportunities in the immediate area, and the hiking trail starts at the exit door.

HOLMEN (24 people)

Holmen is a small island with its own land connection via a small bridge. Here you can be completely to yourself with a great lawn for activities and garden parties. Several deep water jetties and own sandy beach. The garden is well suited for gathering the extended family.

The house itself with annexes takes 24 nights. If you want more accommodation, it is possible to rent our other houses and cottages, as these are within walking distance of Holmen.

The hotel has recently undergone a complete renovation of the premises. At Best Western Plus Oslo Airport you will find state-of-the-art conference facilities and 201 tasteful double rooms with a total of 396 beds. All rooms have free WIFI and Chromecast. The restaurant can seat up to 100 people, and our outdoor terrace, with a sheltered location and views of nature, seats up to 80 people.

We have a total of 9 meeting rooms that can be tailored for gatherings for 2 to 110 participants. All rooms are on the same level and have natural lighting. The meeting rooms have been updated with modern technical equipment to support all kinds of events.

In addition to our traditional meeting rooms, we can also offer two Chambre Séparée.

Come dine with us in our new and fresh restaurant! We are proud to work with local and dedicated suppliers that provide us with the best ingredients. This allows our eminent chef to pick out what is best for our menu, according to the season.

Our goal is to help you relax and get new energy. On the 1st floor you will find a large pool, fireplace, sauna, cold and hot springs as well as an outdoor jacuzzi. On the 2nd floor you will find our VIP spa, Son Magic Circle, where you can take advantage of our special savings on Declèor products. Above all, the breathtaking view is part of the spa experience.

Hold your meeting and conference at the waterfront of Son. We have a total of 15 modern and bright meeting rooms as well as conference suites, all with a sea view. Our main hall, the Hollendersalen, can accommodate up to 150 people. Are you looking for team activities, you can choose anything from cookery and beer making to sailing and cultural walks in the coastal town of Son.

The Son Spa restaurant is “The” gathering place for hotel guests, sailors, spa enthusiasts and Son resident, as well as guests who want a tasty dinner. The beautiful outdoor seating is located directly on the boardwalk and marina, with beautiful beaches on either side. We use local produce in season and compose our menus based on these. Located on the waterfront and with a sea view, fish and seafood are of course one of our specialties. We serve a lot of organic food and we have vegetarian options available. Our menu is Nordic, but we get inspiration from all over the world.

Øvre Sem Guesthouse

Øvre Sem Gård has operated as a hotel for several years.

With buildings from the 19th century, personal touch, historical ambiance, local food and a central location they have combined old traditions with contemporary facilities and created a warm and welcoming destination.

Øvre Sem Gård is idyllically located right by the Semsvannet in Asker, only 15 minutes by car from Oslo.

Accommodation

Overnight in a venerable and historic hotel with 47 rooms, of which 2 are junior suites and 3 family rooms. Get up in the morning and enjoy a delicious breakfast with produce from local producers and a beautiful view of the garden.
