Dreaming of fresh air, historic roads, and wide-open landscapes?
Your adventure starts with a relaxing train ride towards Gjøvik. Sit back and enjoy the scenery as the train winds its way from Oslo’s forests into the rolling farmland of Hadeland.
When you arrive at Eina station, an unforgettable cycling awaits.
Ride through historic landscapes
From Eina, the route follows the western shore of the shimmering Lake Einavatnet. For an especially spectacular nature experience, we recommend taking the route via Åstjern and Blokhus, where quiet forest roads and scenic viewpoints make the journey just as memorable as the destination.
As you approach Brandbu, the landscape opens up to reveal one of Hadeland’s most iconic panoramas: views across Randsfjorden, framed by the distinctive volcanic hills Brandbukampen and Sølvsberget.
For the most atmospheric approach, we recommend cycling along the historic "King’s Road over Tingelstad". Here you ride through the heart of Hadeland’s rich cultural heritage before rolling into the courtyard at our farm.
Rest and recharge at Helgaker Gård
After a day on the bike, a warm welcome awaits at Helgaker Gård. Enjoy a well-deserved dinner and a restful night in charming rooms filled with historic character.
The next morning begins with a hearty farm breakfast before we prepare a packed lunch for your journey ahead. From here, the route continues south across beautiful highland landscapes toward Mylla, before leading you into the deep forests of Nordmarka on your way back toward the city of Oslo.
A perfect combination of train travel, cycling, nature, and a unique farm stay just a short way and close to Oslo.
