Meetings at Wergelandshaugen!

Only 35 minutes by train from the center of Oslo, 10 minutes from Oslo Airport Gardermoen – you will find the lovely Wergelandshaugen.

This is a unique place to gather the management team or create an unforgettable meeting between colleagues. The surroundings create calm and creativity, gathered around exquisite architecture and stately details.

Wergelandshaugen has different rooms that can be adapted to different occasions. Among other things, the Spisestuen can accommodate 18 people in a board table layout, in the Kunstlåven there are options for both unboards, long tables and classic layouts with rectangular meeting tables. In the stable wing you will find good solutions for video conferences, as a projector, screen, camera and microphones have been installed for this purpose.

Cafe Amalies Have, serves delicious break food and home-made lunch. In the evening, Havestuen can be set up for a dignified dinner.

The beautiful, English garden with sculpture park can be used during breaks and when needed to relax. There you can see and smell the plants and flowers from ancient times, back to the Middle Ages. The historic garden has been painstakingly restored to the 1920s, according to photographs and with contemporary plants.

We collaborate with several farms and suppliers in the local area that provide us with local ingredients and our eminent chef combines different dishes according to the season. T

he restaurant can seat up to 100 people, and our outdoor terrace, with a sheltered location and views of nature, seats up to 80 people.

If you want it a little more private, we have two separate Chambre Séparée that can be covered for breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Sorenskriverboligen: A classicist mansion from the 18th century, perfect for intimate dinners, meetings, and smaller gatherings. Here you can enjoy the original charm and tranquil atmosphere.

Kunstlåven: A modern and flexible venue with large windows and high ceilings, suitable for both large and small events. Kunstlåven has a unique atmosphere and is suitable for both classic and more modern events.

Accommodation in scenic surroundings: Do you and your guests want to extend your stay? We offer accommodation in stately suites and modern microhouses. Our guesthouses are perfect for both groups and individuals.

Food and drink: We can assist with catering from our highly skilled chef who prepares the food on-site! If you prefer to arrange food and drink yourself, that is also possible.

Easy access and ample space: Wergelandshaugen is accessible by train, 35 minutes from Oslo S or 10 minutes from Oslo Airport Gardermoen, followed by a 5-minute walk from Eidsvoll station. If you drive, it takes 50 minutes from Oslo city center, with a large parking lot at the bottom of the property.

Whether you are in transit or are part of a conference group, you will receive personal service from our employees, enjoy good and Nordic food with local ingredients in the restaurant and get a good night’s sleep in our newly renovated rooms.

The hotel has recently undergone a complete renovation of the premises. At Best Western Plus Oslo Airport you will find state-of-the-art conference facilities and 201 tasteful double rooms with a total of 396 beds. All rooms have free WIFI and Chromecast. The restaurant can seat up to 100 people, and our outdoor terrace, with a sheltered location and views of nature, seats up to 80 people.

We have a total of 9 meeting rooms that can be tailored for gatherings for 2 to 110 participants. All rooms are on the same level and have natural lighting. The meeting rooms have been updated with modern technical equipment to support all kinds of events.

In addition to our traditional meeting rooms, we can also offer two Chambre Séparée.

Come dine with us in our new and fresh restaurant! We are proud to work with local and dedicated suppliers that provide us with the best ingredients. This allows our eminent chef to pick out what is best for our menu, according to the season.

Our barception is open 24 hours a day, and has a lobby shop with a selection of drinks and snacks. In addition to our 200 parking spaces, we also have 12 charging stations for electric cars. Our gym is available for all our guests. The gym is 48 square meters and supplied with modern fitness equipment.

Quality Hotel Entry

You will find us just on the outskirts of Oslo – between Oslo (approx. 10 minutes) and the TusenFryd amusement park (approx. 8 minutes). The Quality Hotel Entry lies in green surroundings at Mastemyr, encircled by a park. It has free parking for guests and is about a 10 minute walk from Hvervenbukta beach. In recent years, the hotel has been significantly renovated and now has 155 modern guest rooms and completely new restaurant and conference facilities.

Conferences

During the winter, the Quality Hotel Entry is a course and conference hotel. We have close to 20 meeting rooms, the largest of which can seat over 400 people. We offer facilities for parties, conferences, exhibitions and events. In addition, we strongly recommend that our guests make use of the park surrounding the hotel for both activities and recreation.

Tusenfryd

The hotel fills up every summer with expectant TusenFryd guests. In cooperation with TysenFryd, we have created favourably priced packages that include entrance ticket, accommodation and of course, a delicious breakfast.

The child-friendly hotel

Apart from Tusenfryd, we have many activities at the hotel during the summer for both young and old. Outside in the park, you can play soccer or other games. Indoors, we have ping-pong, movies on the big screen TV, drawing, painting, Legos, etc. During the school holidays, we have an activity leader that spends a few hours every night with the children. Sometimes there might be a disco night, or maybe a soccer match. The children can play undisturbed here while the adults enjoy a dinner in peace and quiet.

The Quality Hotel Entry is the ideal point of departure for visits to both Follo and Oslo. Park your car here if you don’t want to drive in Oslo, you can take a 15 minute bus ride to the city centre. Purchase an Oslo card at the reception and gain access to both attractions and transportation, either free of charge or at sharply reduced rates. If you would like to go shopping, we strongly recommend the Kolbotn Torg shopping centre, which is just a couple of minutes away or Norwegian Outlet (www.norwegianoutlet.no) in Vestby, which is about 15 minutes away.

Follo museum

Follo Museum is an open-air museum with old buildings from Frogn, Ås, Vestby and Nesodden. The museum has a large collection of artifacts, a café with a museum shop and chickens, rabbits and sheep in the summer. The museum also has premises for rent.
The café is open on weekends in the winter months, as well as during the autumn, Easter and winter holidays. During the summer season, the café is open Tuesday-Sunday. The café serves waffles, cakes, soft drinks, cocoa and coffee. In the museum shop you will find a little bit of local crafts, as well as exciting local history.
Guided tours are offered by appointment all year round. The tour visits several of the museum's historic buildings: the Korsegården train station, the Old Holstad School, the farmhouse at Børsum and the Boys' Home. The audience will see various historical interiors, the development of artifacts and how people in Follo have lived throughout history. Our audio guide is available 24 hours a day.

Asker cultural centre

Welcome to a vibrant cultural center in a perfect location

Asker culture center is located in the center of Asker with a bustling life summer and winter. We want to be a cultural center for everyone, with a varied offering both in breadth and to all ages. The program ranges from professional, established artists to local amateur performances.

Asker Culture House is located right in the center of Asker, next to the Triangle shopping center. It is only a five minute walk from Asker station, with train and bus connections to Oslo and Drammen. If you come by car, there is two hours of free parking in the large parking garage of the mall. In addition, there are other parking garages as well as street parking in Asker city center.

A cultural center for everyone: Asker culture center is a municipal activity that is responsible for both program and operation of the stage. In addition to theater and concert halls, the house houses two black-box halls, an outdoor scene, banqueting rooms, seminars and meeting rooms, gallery / vestibule, youth club with non-alcoholic café and band room, library, cultural corner, cinema and dining. The upper floors have office space.

Dining: In collaboration with Wettre Brewery, we offer dining at most of our evening events. The bar opens an hour before the show.

Vikingskipet

One of the largest ice-skating arenas in the world

Hamar Olympiahall – Vikingskipet is a modern multi-purpose arena with an architecture reminiscent of our Viking Ship heritage. It was built for the 1994 Winter Olympics, and has status as a national arena. This means that it can be used for international championships. Today, the bustling arena is used for speed-skating, bandy, and figure-skating training and competitions, and it also plays host to a wide range of small and large trade fairs, corporate events, exhibitions, banquets, and concerts. When used as a concert venue, Vikingskipet offers a 20 000-people capacity. It enjoys a beautiful location in Åkersvika, on the banks of Mjøsa, not far from Hamar town centre.

Spectacular architecture

Shaped like an upside-down Viking Ship, the arena showcases Norwegian architecture and building design using laminated wood lattice girders with a max. beam span of 96 metres and with 4-metre struts. The architects are Biong & Biong Arkitektfirma and Niels Torp Arkitekter, and the arena measures 250 metres at is longest and 110 metres at its widest. It has a max. floor-to-ceiling height of 36 metres, a total area of 22 000 sq. m, a 10 000 sq. m ice rink, a 30 000 sq. m roof surface, and a volume of 350 000 cubic metres.

When the arena’s ice rink is in place, ice skating in Vikingskipet is open to everyone. Skates are available for hire, and there is also a shop selling ice-skating equipment.
