Learn How To Make Apple Liquor – Legal! You get an introduction to the production of Norwegian apple spirits, as well as an inspection round of the oak barrels in the cellar. Check out the content of the barrels, share your opinion and join in creating the story of Norwegian apple spirits. Educational and fun!

The distillery tour is suitable for birthdays, groups of friends, corporate groups, stag parties and wine clubs, and is best suited for groups of 2 to 15 people. The distillery visit lasts one hour, and the best part is that you can drive home afterwards, only influenced by real apple experiences.

Aquavit Distillery Tour & Tasting

Visit Anora and experience the taste, history, traditions and production of Norwegian Aquavit.

Upon arrival at the distillery, a professional from the house will welcome you. During the distillery tour, you will gain in-depth knowledge on how Aquavit acquires its unique flavours from the selection of botanicals, through distillation techniques and to the final maturation.

Cask maturation of Aquavit is unique to Norway. From the balcony in the impressive warehouse you will enjoy the view of 8000 oak barrels maturing various Aquavits from six months up to twelve years. They even mature an Aquavit in cask on deck of a ship crossing the Equator twice during a four months journey.

The tour ends with a tutored tasting of Aquavit in unique surroundings.

Bergvang Farm Activities

We organise birthday celebrations with dog sledding and farm visits by appointment and we offer an active outdoor life such as dog sledding / carriage rides, leash riding, hiking, tenting, animal care and more. We have outdoor activities, la avvo with fireplace and a nice gathering room inside the barn.

The animals that live with us are currently:

Alpacas, llamas, Icelandic horses, Norwegian bred horses, chickens and roosters, game sheep, ursa sheep, fur sheep, many dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, mini pigs, donkeys, peacocks and bee hives, as well as highland cattle and mini cows (Dexter).

Birthday Parties. How about inviting to the birthday celebration with dogsledding and farm visits? Great success with everyone who has tried!

Dog sledding. Being out with a dog team is a great way to experience nature. On Berg Vang can be a passenger or drive yourself.

Horse riding. We offer riding excursions in our great community at Semsvannet. Hourly tours / day trips or on request.

Events. If you and your colleagues / friends want to try something new and fun – add the next Kick off with activities to us.

Farm Visit. Kindergartens and schools that have been here often start with a walk around the farm to greet all the animals. Afterwards they eat, and then we take any dog ​​racing to finish. The dogs are very popular, and dog sledding is great fun!

Our Farm Shop Come in for a nice trade of yarn from your own animals, various products in wool from Lovley Planet, or enjoy a cup of good coffee, broth and enjoy the atmosphere in our cafe or in the garden.

The art vally at Hvalstad

Welcome to the art valley of Hvalstad

The heart of the museum is an artist homes of Tilla and Otto Valstad, and Hulda and Arne Garborg. The museum has a lush, baroque-inspired garden with animal sculptures by Anne Grimdalen, a large and diverse collection of houses and objects.

Labråten

Labråten was the home of Hulda and Arne Garborg. On Labråten the couple had a quiet place where they could write and engage in cultural activities. It was an exchange that continued influences from both Europe and the world otherwise, a meeting place of ideas and creation related to the brde cultural power that was not limited by national boundaries, religion or race.

How to find us

Directions and how to get to Asker museum by public transport. Traveling collectively can take a local train to Hvalstad station and so it takes about 15 minutes to walk from the station. Or take bus 270 from Sandvika bus terminal to Asker Museum.
