Please note that street art is constantly changing, some works may have been removed or renewed as part of urban development in Sandvika. The art at Helgerudgården will disappear when the area is redeveloped.

Sjøholmen is just a 10-minute walk from Sandvika. Here you’ll find a gallery with changing exhibitions, an underwater sculpture park by Jason Tyler, and an art café.

Henie Onstad Kunstsenter is about a 20-minute walk towards Høvik — simply follow the coastal path. The outdoor sculpture park features 30 sculptures. Explore the forest, the shoreline, and the open lawns, where you’ll find the well-known “Soluret” by Arnold Haukeland and the distinctive “Filipstadbananen” by Trygve Fredriksen.

Bærums Verk also offers outstanding art and is well worth a visit in beautiful surroundings. The sculpture park features 29 works by some of Norway’s leading sculptors. You can also see handcrafted art by blacksmith Tobbe Malm, who initiated and created the 22 July memorial “Jernrosene” (The Iron Roses), as well as ceramics, prints, and paintings in the galleries. Visit the glassblowers at Klart Glass and enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants. Located in scenic surroundings along the Lomma river, Bærums Verk is about a 20-minute bus ride away.

The municipality’s largest mural was created by the well-known local artist Martin Whatson and can be seen at Bekkestua barneskole. Whatson is one of Norway’s leading graffiti artists, with murals across Eastern Norway and international recognition.
